PORT SERIES REPORT NO. 71

PORTS OF MEMPHIS, TN; HELENA, AR;
AND PORTS ON THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI RIVER (MILES 620-954 AHP)
(Revised 2005)

   The Navigation Data Center, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, announces the availability of Port Series Report No. 71, Ports of Memphis, TN; Helena, AR; and Ports on the Lower Mississippi River (Miles 620-954 AHP). It supersedes a similar report revised in 1993.

   Port Series Reports delineate the Nation's principal coastal, Great Lakes, and inland port and waterway terminal and transfer facilities. The publications, produced under authority of law, are intended to meet the needs of federal, state, and municipal agencies; port and waterway development authorities; and others concerned with the utilization and improvement of existing terminals, and the planning and development of new ones.

   Facility descriptions include details of berthing accommodations, petroleum and bulk handling equipment, intermodal transfer, transit sheds, repair plants, and other elements associated with port and waterway operations.

   Port Series Report No. 71 encompasses a total of 150 facilities along the lower, shallow-draft portion of the Mississippi River and tributaries between miles 620 to 954 AHP (Ahead of Passes), and includes the Ports of Memphis, TN and Helena, AR.

   The updated information on each of the 150 facilities is available only on the web. A 1993 edition of Port Series Report No. 71 is the last available in printed form, cost $14.00. Publications are mailed postpaid (4th Class Mail), on the same day that the order is received, unless a prepaid alternate delivery method is specified.
