PORT SERIES REPORT NO. 68
PORTS ON THE ARKANSAS,
RED, AND OUACHITA RIVER SYSTEMS,
AND MISSOURI RIVER
(Revised 2002)
The Navigation Data Center, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, announces the availability of Port Series Report No. 68. The report is divided into two sections, the first encompassing the ports on the Arkansas, Red, and Ouachita River Systems, including the lower approaches; the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System (Arkansas and Verdigris Rivers); and the White River, all totals 128 facilities. The Missouri River section consists of the ports on the river, and totals 88 facilities, 51 are located on the right bank, and 37 on the left. It supersedes a similar report published in 1987.
Port Series Reports delineate the Nation's principal coastal, Great Lakes, and inland port and waterway terminal and transfer facilities. The publications, produced under authority of law, are intended to meet the needs of federal, state, and municipal agencies; port and waterway development authorities; and others concerned with the utilization and improvement of existing terminals, and the planning and development of new ones.
Facility descriptions include details of berthing accommodations, petroleum and bulk handling, intermodal transfer, handling equipment, grain transfer facilities, grain elevators, fleeting areas, and other elements associated with port and waterway operations. The locations of the described facilities are depicted on two aerial photographic maps of the waterfront areas.
Port Series Report No. 68 may be purchased for $34.00 (see Ordering Guide on reverse). Publications are mailed postpaid (4th Class Mail) on the same day that order is received, unless a prepaid alternate delivery method is specified.
