Mission

The port facilities database contains a national inventory which delineates the Nation's principal coastal, Great Lakes and inland port and waterway terminal and transfer facilities. The information is used to analyze the use and improvement of existing terminals and the planning and development of new ones. Primary users are Federal, state and municipal agencies; and port and waterway development authorities.
